TUBE BULLY!!!

Sorry I do not have a photo for this entry...y'all know how much I love to add a photo of SOME KIND! You will just have to use your imagination and picture this in your mind. Since it involved ME in a SWIMSUIT, please feel free to make me 105 pounds and REALLY TAN!!!

We had the opportunity to go to SEVEN PEAKS to swim yesterday as a family. After the kids slept in the car on the way there, we descended upon the water park with vigor and readiness for some fun in the sun!

Adam did well swimming about and having fun with Aaron especially. If y'all didn't know, this is a SUPER accomplishment since he thought WATER and immersing in it his Kryptonite as a child. Bath time used to be a series of strategies to get him in, get him washed and out without MANY tantrums. FINALLY, he has overcome that problem and loves the WATER (sigh of relief from Mom).

As for Genevieve, she is a mermaid. She was born loving the WATER and will do ANYTHING to spend as much time possible in it!!! She can often be found washing any number of stuffed animals in the sink/bathtub at ANY TIME of the day. Could I have two more opposite kids on this matter?

Since Gev's personality is REALLY coming out even more, she cracked me up by becoming the "Tube Bully." Whenever someones tube would get close to her, she would tell me, "Mom, I hate when tubes hit my head," and the SHOVE them as hard as her little body could muster to send them the other way. I had to laugh because she did this for 4.5 hours yesterday. The funniest was when a lady, who was entering the pool for the first time, came close to Gev with an empty tube and Gev shoved it as hard as she could. Of course, it went flying and the lady looked puzzled. I looked at her and explained that we had been there for MANY hours and my daughter has decided to stand up for herself against all tubes (even the non-offending ones). She laughed and Genevieve proudly walked off as if she had solved world hunger.

I guess when you are little there are not many ways in the world to defend yourself. Gev chose yesterday to take a stand against tubes. Not only was I proud of her taking care of business, but it provided a day of humor for me!!! How could I not write this story down so I can laugh about it for years to come.

Who knows, the TUBE BULLY may be coming to your pool someday soon!!! Watch out!
